St John’s LINKS Committee is made up of parents/caregivers of the school, the Principal and a staff representative. Their role is to provide a number of services to the school in order to promote fellowship and raise funds for the school community. Meetings are held through the year and notice of these will be provided through the school newsletter, along with other information regarding events taking place within the school.
Parents & Friends
The Parents and Friends Association (P&F) exists to support school activities, help parents to get to know one another and provide information and support to parents. The P&F also raises funds to assist the school in improving the quality of the educational experience for students. All parents are automatically members of the P&F.
The P&F hosts a number of events each year to help foster community connection, including the annual 'Twilight Tea', welcome BBQs for new families and parent year level dinners.
Many parents are involved in P&F activities. Parents gain a great sense of satisfaction from making a valuable contribution to the school and many enduring friendships have been forged through participation in P&F activities.
Friends of Music
Friends of Music (FOM) exists to enhance musical opportunities for students at Concordia by supporting the music program and assisting with fundraising and social events.
Major activities each year include Concordia in Concert, Vocal Cabaret, the annual college musical and various FOM fundraisers. Fundraising has helped support the purchase of musical instruments, interstate and overseas tours, and has subsidised instrumental tuition and hire. Recent purchases include an Alto Flute, Bass Flute, Vibraphone, Bass Trombone and Timpani.
