Amalgamation Celebration Service
On Thursday 3 March the students and staff from both Concordia College campuses assembled together for the first time, celebrating the amalgamation of St John’s Lutheran School and Concordia College with official addresses, singing and even a bagpipe solo!
Concordia Campus Principal Lester Saegenschnitter opened the service, welcoming students, staff and guests to this significant historical occasion. Pastors Peter Bean and Lee Kroehn spoke of the significance of two schools becoming one, using the analogy of two streams flowing into one river to illustrate the strength and dynamism that comes with unity.
With students of all ages seated across The Quad, the Student Leaders from both campuses welcomed each other’s communities. St John’s Campus Principal Michael Paech closed the service, thanking everyone for attending this truly historic event as we celebrated two schools becoming one.
