Congratulations to the Class of 2016
The Concordia College community congratulates the Class of 2016 on the excellent achievements of students in both the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
The results, which were announced over the summer holiday period, reflect many hours of hard work and dedication on the part of the students who have applied themselves throughout the year to achieve their goals.
The achievements and results of the cohort were very pleasing, with 25.5% of students who were eligible for an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) gaining a score of 90 or greater and 52.4% achieving scores of 80 or above. The median ATAR for the 2016 cohort is 82.
This year, three students gained outstanding scores of 99 or above, including the top SACE student with a score of 99, and the top IBDP student with a score of 99.95. This places them in the top 1% of Australian school leavers and is a testament to the way these students have persevered to achieve at the highest level throughout their final year at school.
Merit Certificates are awarded each year to students who achieve the highest possible score in a particular subject. In total, 25 Merit Certificates were awarded amongst 17 students in a range of subjects. Three IB Diploma Distinctions were also awarded to students who achieved an overall Diploma score of 40 or more, where the maximum possible score is 45.
The Concordia College community congratulates students on these fantastic results. We wish the Class of 2016 well in their future endeavours as they journey into life beyond school.
