Donate in Memory
Memorial gifts are a lasting tribute to your loved one. Concordia College provides various ways for you to remember and honour someone’s life.
The Concordia Chapel Memorial Garden (pictured above) provides a beautiful and relaxing place to remember individuals and families connected with Concordia College and St John’s Lutheran Church and School. A vine leaf can be purchased in memory of a loved one and be permanently attached to the metal vine in the garden, engraved with up to 40 words of your choice. A second leaf will also be engraved for you to take home. A limited number of larger plaques can be purchased and displayed on the garden seating.
Another way you can honour a loved one is to make an In Memorial Donation or ask that friends and family to make a donation in memory of your loved one at the time of their funeral instead of giving flowers. The Donor Relations Manager, Sue Spry, will be happy to work with you to provide a fitting tribute to the deceased, provide donation envelopes and liaise with your Funeral Director to organise the collection of donations.
A special way that some families like to honour the memory of their loved one is by setting up a Memorial Fund in their name to support scholarships, awards or buildings at Concordia College.
We never forget loved ones that we have lost, and if you choose to remember them in one of the above ways, their name is also recorded in our Book of Remembrance, which is maintained in perpetuity at Concordia College.
