Annual Celebration Dinner
On Saturday 25 June, 110 old collegians packed The Suaviter for a superb Indian banquet at the Annual Celebration Dinner, which has become the highlight of the reunion weekend.
There was a fantastic mix of ages, with many class groups represented. A special mention goes to the classes of 1956 and 1966, who were celebrating milestone reunions on the night.
The evening opened with an opportunity to catch up with old and new friends before sitting down to enjoy a delicious three-course meal. COCA President Nick Banks (’11) welcomed everyone before old collegian (and current Concordia Pastor) Peter Bean (’66) followed with grace.
During the evening guests were entertained by a flautist and pianist, both old collegians from recent years. Guests came from far and wide, including many states of Australia, and even Cambodia.
The Principal of Concordia Campus, Lester Saegenschnitter, thanked all in attendance for making the event such a success, and provided an update on current school building projects.
A great night was had by all.
