COCA Cricket Club Update

After another very successful 2016/17 season, and the injection of a wealth of new young players, the Concordia College Old Collegians Cricket Club is continuing its development as a strong turf cricket club and cricketing community. Our Old Collegians Cricket Club currently consists of an A, B, and C grade side; each containing a wealth of past and present Concordia collegians, from members who graduated 20 years ago to current Year 9s and 10s at Concordia, all under the watchful eye and high-quality coaching of Andrew Dunn. The Club's current strong emphasis on its connections to Concordia, and on connecting with current and past students has created an extremely positive and healthy attitude within the Club, one that will ensure it is playing good cricket for many years to come. Thanks to the dedicated Executive Committee, the Club's players participate in a host of enjoyable events each year; ranging from formal presentation nights at the Earl of Leicester to rigorous pre-season programs at the Gillespie Indoor Cricket Centre, as well as functions, fundraisers and regular Club dinners and other events. Recently, the Club has also bought a new turf roller and coaching equipment, a purchase made possible by several grants from the COCA committee. With a fast-developing player base, updated equipment, and a dedicated Executive Committee devoted to the players, the Concordia College Old Collegians Cricket Club shows no current signs of slowing down, and will hope for another prosperous season in 2017/18.
