Pedal Prix 24-Hour Race

The Concordia Pedal Prix Team recently competed in the 24-hour HPV Super Series at Murray Bridge at the end of Week 9. A team of 50 students across all year levels represented the College in four trikes across the weekend in the final race for 2019. We competed against 217 school and community teams from around Australia, making it the biggest race currently in the world. The start of the race brought wet and cold conditions for the first time in many years, making visibility difficult for the early riders. Once the weather cleared, all teams worked well together to keep their trikes circulating for the whole event with no major mechanical issues. Teams braved the cold early morning rides with limited sleep and continued to climb higher up the leader board as the event progressed, with all teams achieving some great results. Harmony and Concorde finished in the top 10 of their respective categories while Matrix and Shockwave showed great improvement and development across all their riders.

We would like to thank all our sponsors for their continued support in 2019 and to all the parents and staff who contributed to another very successful season of racing.

Team Category Position Laps
Harmony S3 7th / 34 469
Concorde S2 5th / 64 456
Matrix S2 14th / 64 419
Shockwave S2 42nd / 64 354

Year 7 Basketball Finals

On Wednesday, 18 September the Year 7 boys basketball teamparticipated in the final day of the School Sport SA basketball tournament. With over 130 schools competing in the tournament originally, the finals were down to 16 schools. Concordia was in a very tough Pool A with seven other schools. They played fantastic team basketball all day and managed to win four games, drew two games and lost one by just one point. This amazing result would see them finish third in their pool and around fifth in the state. They battled hard in every game and are congratulated on their result.
