The Father’s Day Market Stall was a great success. There were numerous choices of presents for Father’s Day such as gingerbread, colourful socks and various plants, as well as some delicious afternoon snacks! Students always look forward to the Market Stalls and there was a hive of activity in the Courtyard on the day. Thanks to the amazing efforts of the Year Level Coordinators and parents from ELC, Years 1, 4 and 6, over $1400 was raised and this will go towards worthwhile purchases to benefit our students.
Community Carer - St John's Campus
Last Saturday night, the Concordia Campus Gym was transformed into “Hollywood” when the St John’s Campus Links rolled out the red carpet for their annual Quiz Night. The new venue proved a huge success with great attendance, fabulous decorations, and amazing costumes (including some very cheeky Marilyns, and a group of Elvis look-a-likes who converted their table into a pink cadillac!). The highlight of the evening was the challenging but fun quiz rounds and games, with the winning table proving that teachers really do have the knowledge! The night was hosted by our very own ‘Dame Edna” aka Alan, and superstar quiz master Dale, and the evening of fun was topped off with a disco thanks to DJ Mike!
We were fortunate to receive lots of wonderful donations from both the school and local communities for the silent auction, and the proceeds of this successful night will be used to enhance the school's outdoor spaces for our children. This event wouldn’t have been possible without the help of our volunteers, thank you for helping to create the perfect scene!"
Thank you to our very generous sponsors for their support.

This morning The Suaviter was buzzing as many Concordia fathers and grandfathers gathered with their children for the annual Father’s Day Breakfast. Guests enjoyed catching up over a delicious breakfast and were entertained by Concordia’s talented InSync Jazz Quartet. We were delighted to have as our guest speaker Sean O’Brien, Managing Director of Nine Network Adelaide and current Concordia parent. Sean gave some very interesting insights into the rapidly changing face of media, and some words of advice for those thinking of a career in the media. Once again it was a fantastic, sold out event, and a great way to celebrate the wonderful fathers in our community. Happy Father’s Day to all the Concordia dads, we hope you enjoy celebrating again on Sunday!
Community Engagement and Events Office
On Friday 18 August we were excited to welcome more than 30 members of the Class of 1977 who returned to Concordia to celebrate their 40 Year Reunion. The group enjoyed a catered Indian banquet in The Suaviter, a tour of the new Winchester Street 'Hub' building and time to enjoy sharing stories and catching up with one another. It was wonderful.to welcome this group back to our college and a fun time was had by all.
With an anticipated 400 guests, this year's Gala Ball offers a unique opportunity to raise awareness of your business within the school community, whilst helping to raise money for important student equipment.
A big thank you to those members of the College community who have already donated items for auction at this year's Gala Ball. We are currently seeking donations of goods, services or cash and if you're able to support the event in this way, we'd love to hear from you.
