Softball
On Tuesday, 26 November our Year 7 girls played in the School Sport SA Knockout grand final round robin. They defeated Colonel Light Gardens Primary and Ardtornish Primary to then play Hawthorndene in the gold medal game. It was a fantastic game with the scores at 4-3 going into the last innings and unfortunately for our girls Hawthornedene batted well to seal the win.
Many thanks to the coaches Ivana, Cate and Laura, and to the girls for their enthusiasm and positive attitudes. Congratulations on winning a silver medal!
Cricket
After winning five games in the state-wide knockout tournament our Year 7 boys secured a spot in the gold medal state title game against Sacred Heart on Wednesday, 27 November.
The day was perfect for cricket and a fantastic support crew of parents and grandparents from both schools created a wonderful atmosphere.
Both teams displayed impressive batting and bowling skills, and there were some standout catches in the field.
Unfortunately the final result didn't go our way, but the boys must be very proud of the silver medal achievement.
Congratulations to the coaches Zac, Jacob and Mick along with the boys for the teamwork, support and the success they have achieved in 2019.
