Concordia wins Silver at National Volleyball
As the 2018 school year drew to a close, a number of Concordia students travelled to Melbourne to compete in a national volleyball tournament involving 5000 students, the Australian Schools Volleyball Cup. A boys team and a girls team both comprising senior volleyballers from Concordia Campus played well in the pool rounds, finishing top two in their divisions and earning their place in the semi-finals.
With a considerable number of teams involved from their home state, both Concordia teams were then faced with South Australian opponents and both were successful in progressing to the gold medal play-off. In the end, the final matches resulted in both Concordia teams walking away with silver medals, an impressive achievement given the scope and quality of this competition.
The students involved are commended for their efforts and for the incredible achievement of second place in such a large scale competition.
