Crows Stars visit St John's Campus

With the end of Term 2 just around the corner, students in Years 3 to 6 enjoyed a special treat when Adelaide Crows players Taylor Walker, Matt Crouch, Kyle Hartigan, Paul Seedsman and Andrew McPherson visited the St John’s Campus to run afternoon football clinics.

A series of drills, exercises and challenges put students through their paces and helped to develop skills in goal kicking, handballing, bumping, kicking to a target, and more. The students also had a chance to say hello and have a quick chat to the players as they got their autographs during a signing session after each clinic.

It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to learn from the experts while also having a great time. It was good to see Mr Paech getting involved in helping students develop their defensive skills too!

A couple of weeks later in early July, the Year 5/6 girls football team had the opportunity to play in front of tens of thousands of football fans during the halftime break of the Adelaide Crows and Port Adelaide Power Showdown at Adelaide Oval, after winning the Sturt Metro Crows Cup back in May. A fantastic achievement!
