Ella to attend Space Camp

Ella, a Year 11 student with a long-standing interest in Science, is one step closer to her goal of becoming the first Australian woman in space after being selected by Australian Scholarships Group (ASG) to attend the International Space Camp at the US Space and Rocket Center in Alabama, USA in July.

Ella is currently studying Physics and is excited at the opportunity to participate in mission simulations and design challenges, and to meet like-minded young people from all over the world.

Ella is one of just two Australian students selected to attend the camp this year, and the second Concordia student selected in the last three years. Recently, Ella was interviewed by the ABC's Behind The News (BTN) which is watched each week by many school students who will hopefully be inspired by Ella's passion for all things 'space' and her desire to achieve her goals.

We wish her well on this adventure and look forward to hearing about her experience upon her return.
