NRM School Environment Grant

For a number of years now, our College’s kitchen garden at the Concordia Campus has allowed students to grow, harvest and cook fresh produce such as vegetables and herbs in their Food Design classes, and this space is set to be relocated and upgraded thanks to a School Environment Grant.

We are delighted to have been awarded the grant from the Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges Natural Resources Management Board for the creation of a new outdoor learning area / veggie garden adjacent the Chapel and Concordia Campus staffroom.

This new space will open up a variety of new learning opportunities across different year levels and subject areas, and we look forward to seeing this exciting project take shape!

On a related note, our OSHC students have been getting into some gardening recently by looking after a box of nature grass seedlings as part of a volunteer program to restore vegetation that was lost in the devastating summer bushfires. A wonderful way to get involved in lending a hand!
