ELC Garden Opening
It was with much excitement that the new ELC garden at the St John’s Campus was officially opened and dedicated in front of ELC students, staff and invited guests on Wednesday, 28 February.
The students sang for the guests and Kate Wood, ELC Director, spoke about various features of the garden which has been designed to invite curiosity and exploration in nature play. Pastor Andrew Brook dedicated the space and Mr Bruce Williams, former Principal of St John’s Lutheran School and current ELC grandparent, spoke about the development of the ELC area over the years before cutting the ribbon with assistance from two Year 12 School Captains and two ELC children.
After the conclusion of the ceremony, guests enjoyed walking through the garden and observing the children who had a fantastic time playing in their new outdoor area.
Thanks to Oxigen (landscape designers) and Russell & Yelland (architects), and the builders - Adelaide Innovative Landscapes, for helping to make the garden project a reality.
