“ The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character — that is the goal of true education. ”

– Martin Luther King Jr.

This quote from human rights activist Martin Luther King Jr speaks to the heart of what we aim to achieve at Concordia College; helping students to think, learn and grow in knowledge with intelligence and skills for the future, but equally to grow in character. We focus on educating the whole child, providing myriad opportunities to assist students to develop intellectually, physically, relationally and spiritually.

At Concordia, we believe curiosity is the seed from which meaningful learning grows. Curiosity is therefore cultivated, inspiring students to engage, driving them to achieve, and contributing to a desire for further growth.

The vision of Concordia College is ‘Inspiring and equipping hearts, hands and minds for a world of possibilities’, which speaks to the holistic nature of education at Concordia. As you explore our website, we hope that you gain an insight into how this vision is realised across our learning community.

We have high expectations and aspirations for our students, who consistently achieve outstanding academic outcomes. We also offer a wide range of opportunities that encourage students to discover and develop their talents and interests within a safe and supportive environment.

Christian faith and spirituality underpin the practices of Concordia College. As well as providing opportunities to reflect on their own spiritual development, our Christian context inspires students to serve with an open heart - whether at home or abroad - through various service-learning opportunities.

Our hope is for all Concordia graduates to leave at the conclusion of their schooling with a quiet but confident sense of who they are and to embody the College motto - Firm in Principle, Gentle in Manner.

We welcome you to Concordia College and invite you to visit our campuses on one of our College Tours to experience it for yourself.
