Troy Harrison has been a professional musician since the early eighties and always been involved in sport in one form or another. Upon turning fifty he took up triathlon, competing in local sprint and Olympic distance events before turning his attention to the Ironman distance. He has competed in Ironman since 2014. In 2018 he qualified for the World Championships in Nelson Mandela Bay, South Africa and this year he has qualified for the 2019 World Championships in Nice, France.

Troy also achieved Ironman All World Athlete Gold status in 2016, 2018 and 2019, placing him in the top 1% of all athletes in his age group worldwide.
