Premier’s Reading Challenge

Did you know that students who read fiction books for pleasure perform better in all academic areas than those who don’t (Merga, 2014)?  They are also more likely to develop empathy through connecting with the lives of fictional characters (French 2019).

Students across Concordia College from Reception through to Year 12 are participating in the Premier’s Reading Challenge in 2022. To complete the challenge they need to read 12 books before Friday 9 September. To find out more about the Challenge, visit the website. To connect with other Concordia College students who are completing the Challenge, interested students are encouraged to speak to the library staff at the ELC and Primary School or the Middle and Senior School.
