The College’s current Child Safe Policy was approved in September 2020 based on the SA Principles of Child Safety Good Practice.

As a result of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in 2017, 10 National Principles were developed by the Australian Human Rights Commission. The Royal Commission has recommended that all organisations that have contact with children must comply with the principles which replace the former SA Principles of Child Safety Good Practice.

Lutheran Education SA, NT, and WA (LESNW), in conjunction with CompliSpace, have developed a compliant Child Safe Policy, Code of Conducts and procedures. These were all approved by the College Board at the Board meeting held on Wednesday 24 August 2022.

A copy of the new Child Safe Policy and Code of Conduct are available on College Website.

We are committed to continuous improvement in our approach to child safety and wellbeing and welcome feedback from families and members of our school community on ways we can further strengthen our child safety policies, procedures and practices.
