On Thursday 1 June, the Year 11 and Year 12 Legal Studies students, and some staff, attended a presentation from Cornelia Koch and Michelle Hall.
Cornelia and Michelle are part of the Heart to Heart volunteer group, based at Adelaide Law School, the University of Adelaide. Heart to Heart provides independent, factual information on the 2023 referendum on an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice through public outreach events. Cornelia is a Senior Lecturer and expert in constitutional law at Adelaide Law School and Michelle is a current law student.
Their presentation was informative and made issues in relation to the referendum to be held in November this year a lot clearer. As a result, students and staff now have a better understanding of the Voice to Parliament.
