SSSA Adelaide South East Districts Athletics Competition

On Wednesday 6 September, 44 students from our St John’s Campus competed at the ASE District Athletics Day. In warm and windy conditions, our Athletes ran, jumped and threw to the best of their abilities against 14 other schools from the district. Two weeks of trials and training in the lead up to the event paid off with over 25 students placing in the top three in their events. When all was run and done it was Concordia that was announced winner of the Large Schools competition over Linden Park and Burnside Primary Schools. Congratulations to all the students who competed and thanks to all the educators and parents that supported the day.

Congratulations to Mia 6EH, Paloma 6JS, Zoey 5CM, Evie 6MT, Aimee 6JS, Wesley 5TB, Bax 6MT and Liam 6MT, who were selected to represent the ASE District at the State Athletics Carnival on Tuesday 19 September.

Volunteer Officials

Pictured are Concordia College student volunteers assisting as officials at the Adelaide South East (ASE) Athletics Day. At the request of Alice Lange, ASE Sapsasa Convener (School Sport SA), Miss Peresano has managed all matters around organising the group and went to the day as Supervisor. Alice has come to rely on the quality of Concordia students’ “service leadership" to the point that she requests their assistance annually, ever since Miss Peresano’s predecessor, Mrs Ridley, first took up the initiative 8 years ago.

Well done to these students for assisting at this event.
