During Harmony Week we have celebrated multiculturalism in Australia. In the ELC we have read books such as ‘I’m Australian Too’, and ‘Whoever You Are’, by Mem Fox. These have led to discussions about our similarities and differences and how we all belong. We thank Kiki for coming and explaining what the colours and stars represent in the Chinese flag. The children have enjoyed consolidating their learning through making Harmony Day bracelets, painting hearts and hands, and other creative endeavors - what a lot of fun and learning has taken place.
