Stage 1 Theatre Design and Technology students have been working with industry professionals during Term 2 to develop their major design products. After a class study of a text, students undertook a design workshop with the State Theatre Company's Ailsa Paterson.

The major learning experience was Adelaide Festival Centre's Behind the Curtain, a day of workshops at Her Majesty's Theatre, where students practically explored arts careers in areas such as those listed below, and heard from a range of industry professionals:

• costume construction
• set model design
• prop construction
• outdoor event planning
• marketing and producing.

Students will now return to the classroom inspired to generate their own products for assessment!
