Concordia College is taking significant steps to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into its educational framework, aiming to equip students with the skills needed to thrive in both their academic and professional lives. By collaborating with industry experts, the College has developed a comprehensive AI policy that ensures the safety and empowerment of students, enabling them to harness AI tools to enhance their learning and future careers.

In addition to AI integration, Concordia is making substantial upgrades to its IT infrastructure. Over the past year, the College has revamped its core systems to create a more conducive learning environment. The latest upgrades include state-of-the-art classroom screens that allow teachers to explore innovative teaching methods, further supporting student engagement and success.

The introduction of a new laptop program has been a resounding success, particularly for Year 7 students. By implementing a digital license system, the College ensures that students use their devices responsibly and positively. This program is complemented by new cybersecurity measures that will be rolled out in the coming year, providing an added layer of protection for students' digital activities.

With AI becoming an integral part of daily life, Concordia is reviewing how best to utilise this technology to help students successfully navigate their educational journey and future workforce. The AI policy not only safeguards students but also empowers them to use AI tools to improve their learning and working lives.

These initiatives reflect Concordia College’s commitment to staying at the forefront of educational technology. By continually seeking ways to improve and adapt to the evolving needs of its students, the College is fostering a safe, innovative and supportive learning environment for all.

More information about AI at Concordia can be found in two articles on the subject in the Autumn 2025 edition of Concordia Community magazine.
