On a very rainy morning in May, the St John’s Campus ELC children came to visit St Peters Campus ELC. The St Peters Campus children eagerly watched for the bus to arrive through the windows as we witnessed the rain falling. Within minutes of the rain clearing, the Concordia bus rolled into the carpark and there were squeals of delight from all children as they were greeted at the fence.
The rain created a picture-perfect setting for our morning of play, exploration and connection in nature.
From ‘fishing’ in the puddles to building stick houses and making clay balls – this amazing opportunity to establish and extend our cross-campus connections made for a perfect day. The sun even came out by the end of our time together, just in time for us to enjoy our picnic lunch.
We are looking forward to further opportunities for our children to learn and connect together throughout the year.
