On Monday 19 May, the ELC Children from Room 3 caught the bus to visit the residents at Resthaven in Malvern. In the week before the excursion, the children had been practising the songs that they were going to sing and had been making little gifts out of paper and craft supplies to give to the ‘Grand-friends’. They did a wonderful job of performing on the day as well as participating in some songs with shakers and tapping sticks, which the residents joined in with. The parachute song was a lot of fun, and then some stories were read together before the children walked back to the ELC. This excursion was part of an inquiry into how we can show love and serve other people.
