Knockout Sports Update

Volleyball

Well done to our Year 9/10 boys' and girls' knockout volleyball teams on progressing through to the next round of the competition. Go CC!

Basketball

On Friday 13 June, the Senior girls’ basketball team competed in their first round of Knockout. The girls started the competition playing Norwood International in the first game of the day. Concordia took an early lead in the first quarter, with the team displaying great determination and teamwork that helped them to maintain their lead for the remainder of the game, winning 29-22. This strong start set a positive tone for the second game of the day. The second game of the day was against a strong Modbury side. Concordia got off to a fantastic start, leading at quarter time, showing amazing skills and defence. They held their lead and came away with a well-deserved win, defeating Modbury 42–31. Early on next term they will take on Sacred Heart and St Michael's!

Netball

On the Thursday 12 June the Year 9/10 netball team travelled to Mercedes College for our knockout competition. Our team first played Adeliade High School, defeating them 49-15. After only a short break, we then versed Mercedes, defeating them 48-26. Our final game was against Scotch, who was our toughest competition. It was a close game, but we stayed composed and worked as a team, winning by 12 goals. The day was a huge success, we have advanced through to the next round and will be playing for a place in the finals later in the year.
