String Soiree and Winter Winds

String Soirée

Our annual String Soirée took place on Friday 6 June at 5:00pm in the Chapel, showcasing the incredible talent and musical growth of our students. From the youngest members of the St John’s Campus String Ensemble in Reception to our most advanced Senior String Ensemble musicians, the evening was a beautiful celebration of string music. Audiences were captivated by the expressive performances, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the performers and their dedicated ensemble directors for an inspiring evening of music.

Winter Winds

On Thursday 12 June, the Chapel resonated with the sounds of over 120 students from Years 4–12 as they performed in our annual Winter Winds concert. The event highlighted the diversity and energy of our school’s band program, featuring performances from the Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, St John’s Campus Band, Rock Bands 1 and 2, Funk Band, and Big Bands 1 and 2.

A particularly moving moment of the evening was the farewell to Mr Tom Voss, who will be departing at the end of the term to pursue further study in Europe. Mr Voss has made a lasting impact on our music community through his exceptional teaching, passion and deep musical knowledge. He will be greatly missed by staff and students alike.

Thank you to all the musicians and staff who contributed to these wonderful events. Your commitment and enthusiasm continue to enrich the life of our Music Department.
