Our Year 1 students from St John’s Campus recently enjoyed an exciting excursion to the Adelaide Zoo as part of their inquiry into living things. During the visit, students explored a variety of animal habitats and investigated what animals need to survive.
A highlight of the day was a hands-on education session where students had the opportunity to design an animal enclosure. Using their scientific observation skills and critical thinking, they carefully considered how to meet the needs of a Hosmer’s Skink.
It was a wonderful day of learning and discovery, helping students to deepen their understanding of the natural world in a fun and engaging way.
