RAA Street Smart High

On Tuesday 23 September, the Concordia College Year 11 students joined thousands of other secondary school students from around the state at Street Smart High, a road safety program run by the RAA at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Students heard from victims of road trauma, emergency services personnel and families of road trauma victims. They also watched a road crash re-enactment, which provided insight into the causes and aftermath of a fatal road crash, from the perspectives of the driver, bystanders, passengers, motorcycle rider and first responders. With many Year 11s currently on their 'L' and 'P' plates, the day provided a vivid reminder of the need to take the utmost care on the roads.
