Nari (10DLYN) and Nixon (8LTHO) recently attended a NAIDOC Ball. This social event brought together First Nations secondary students from eight independent schools across Adelaide. It was a great opportunity for students to build new connections in a fun and relaxed environment.
NAIDOC celebrates the achievements of Aborginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and a number of student awards were presented during the evening. Nari received recognition for her contribution to the Concordia College Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Working Group. As a young Kokatha woman, Nari brings a gentle wisdom to the group and a valuable voice as a First Nations student. Her commitment to progressing reconciliation at Concordia College is recognised and appreciated by staff and students alike.
