Waverley International School Netball Championships

14 Aug 2025

In the second week of the July school holidays, the Year 10 to 12 senior netball team travelled to Melbourne to compete in the Waverley International School Netball Championships. In the minor round games they won four out of six to play finals in the top eight in the senior competition. They finished a commendable eighth out of 32 teams who competed.

There were many highlights, including a swim in the cold waters at Saint Kilda, but the two standout netball highlights were playing against Rowville Secondary College (the eventual overall winners) and only losing by eight points, and winning against the International School of Sri Lanka by 6 points.

Our girls were wonderful role models for the school both on and off the court, supporting each other and playing to a high standard throughout the tournament, of which they should be incredibly proud.
