Congratulations to the Year 9 Drama class on their performance of new Commedia dell Arte-inspired performances. For this production, students were asked to modernise traditional characters into contemporary settings. Our audience experienced Romeo and Juliet gone wrong, a soap-opera love story, and a MasterChef parody! Each company designed all elements of their short play—the narrative, the characters and blocking, the set, costumes, sounds and lights. They have done a commendable job in an unusually short time frame to present these fast-paced, mad-cap, hilarious stories.
