Anthony Mennillo is a Claims and Legal Advisor for the Medical Insurance Australia Group. While visiting our Year 11 class, he discussed the benefits and difficulties of being a defence barrister in a courtroom, presenting a High Court appeal, and the challenges associated with being a legal advisor to doctors.

Alex Ward is a Barrister conducting cases primarily in the District Court and Supreme Court (including appellate jurisdiction) on catastrophic accident cases, fraud cases, insurance issues and general commercial issues. He also acts as a barrister for Defence Force Discipline trials, Boards of Inquiry, Inquiry Officer, Administrative Actions and Mediation. He presented a comparison of civil law vs criminal law procedures in South Australian courts.

The Honorable David Pisoni MP, Member for Unley since 2006, assisted the students with their summative assessment task, to present a second reading speech in parliament to bring about change to an existing Act of Parliament. He was able to give the class hints of how to present the speech to gain the best positive response from the other members of parliament.
