How is Doppler Shift used to measure speed using Radar Technology? How can we measure radiation levels in Nuclear Physics? 

These were a couple of the questions challenging our Year 11 Physics students on their recent visit to the Univeristy of South Australia's Mawson Lakes campus. To develop their scientific inquiry skills, students engaged in five practical activities to investigate both the use of radar and the use of radioactive materials. The visit to the university also provided an opportunity to explore a tertiary campus.
