This week our young gardeners harvested our very first crop of red potatoes planted earlier in the year at a student's request.
For a first attempt, the crop was surprisingly abundant, with plenty of beautifully coloured red potatoes perfect for chips, baking, mashing and roasting.
Students loved digging through the soil to uncover each spud, learning firsthand about food growth, soil care and sustainable gardening. A simple idea became a joyful, hands-on EdVenture and they’re already deciding what new things to plant next!
