At this week’s whole school meeting, we were delighted to welcome Catherine Hutchesson MP (Waite) along with members of the Blackwood Rotary Club and Blackwood Lions Club. Together, they presented our new Fire Danger Rating Sign. These signs are an important initiative designed to promote fire-safety awareness and help our community prepare for the fire season.

Catherine spent time teaching our students what the Fire Danger Ratings mean, why they matter, and how paying attention to them helps keep our community safe during high-risk periods. Her message encouraged students to be aware, prepared, and informed as we head into the warmer months.

We are incredibly grateful for the partnership and generosity of our local Rotary and Lions Clubs. Their support strengthens our connection with the wider Blackwood community and helps ensure our students understand the importance of safety and readiness.
