Governor of South Australia Commendation Excellence Award

5 Mar 2026

On Wednesday 11 February, Government House hosted 40 exceptional students from across South Australia who were honoured for their academic achievements and significant societal contributions. These students earned a prestigious recognition—the Governor of South Australia Commendation. Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia, recognised these students for such things as "leading mental health and wellbeing initiatives; championing sustainability and inclusion; advancing reconciliation and cultural understanding; and exemplifying initiative, resilience and leadership". Congratulations to Lincoln, Deputy College Captain from the Class of 2025, for this significant recognition of your service to Concordia and the wider community.

This ceremony was part of a larger celebration involving 1,221 students who achieved one or more subject Merits in their South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) in 2025. We were thrilled to celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2025 with 15% of our Year 12 students placing in the top 5% nationally and 30% achieving results in the top 10%.
