Preparing for the future

Our inquiry-based learning program draws on the philosophies of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) and the Early Years Learning Framework—recognising that all children are naturally curious and capable learners.

In the early years, learning is intentionally designed to be engaging, hands-on and meaningful. Through play, exploration and guided inquiry, children develop confidence, creativity and a strong sense of identity within a nurturing and inclusive environment. Through a nurturing, developmentally responsive approach to school readiness, our ELC creates a seamless transition into Reception, ensuring children feel confident, capable and comfortable with the regular rhythms of school life.

Our Primary School curriculum focuses on the growth of the whole child as an inquirer—both in the classroom and beyond—supporting the development of each student’s unique strengths. Alongside strong foundations in literacy and numeracy, students build essential skills such as collaboration, communication and problem-solving, preparing them for future learning and life.

Together, these experiences create a strong foundation for each child’s journey—academically, socially and emotionally.

Early Learning Centre – From three years of age

Our Early Learning Centre offers a balance of structured learning and play-based experiences, designed to build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Through nature play and access to College facilities, children are encouraged to explore, discover and grow in confidence. Signature experiences such as 'Movement Mondays' and 'Hands-on Music Fridays' provide opportunities to learn from specialist teachers in Physical Education, Music, Dance and Drama.

As the first step in an exciting journey at Concordia College, our ELC provides a seamless pathway—with a guaranteed place from Reception through to Year 12.
