The Music stage for Twilight Tea had a last-minute change of venue this year, due to the rain that occurred when we had hoped to be setting up outdoors. Instead of our talented music ensembles entertaining the crowd in the Quad, we took shelter in the comfort of the Chapel. Despite being a little removed from the event, hundreds of people found their way into the Chapel, filing past the Friends of Music stall, to be entertained by no less than 17 different ensembles. Whilst the entertainment took on more of a “concert” feeling, it was an excellent opportunity for these groups to put on show what they have been working hard on so far this term. Congratulations to all involved, with particular thanks to Simon Kuchel who ensured the production (sound and lights) was of the highest quality.
Ensembles involved were:
- Cello Quartet
- Wind Ensemble
- "Legally Blonde The Musical" Whole Cast and Band
- Middle School Choir
- Percussion Ensemble
- Chamber Strings

- String Ensemble
- Jazz Collective
- Concert Band

Thanks go to JQ, the senior Concordia College Jazz Quartet, which performed for guests at the most recent Principal’s Tour. Year 12 students Ryan 12CFI, Cooper 12TMC, Eddie 12HRO and Dylan 12SBAB presented a set of jazz standards for prospective families to the College, and we thank them for their service. We look forward to hearing them again soon at Jazz Under the Stars, on Thursday 12 April.
