During this week our College community has received the Connected Care Plan that has been an initiative of the College’s Wellbeing Reference Group. This document sits beside the Connected Learning Plan and is a resource for our community to support our families to help manage their wellbeing during the pandemic. The Connect Care Plan has been developed as two documents, one is for families and another document was created to support the staff with their wellbeing. Both documents have a focus on strategies to support mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing. We have been able to offer the Healthy Minds Webinar: Wellbeing Strategies for Challenging Times to the community at a reduced cost as a part of this initiative. The webinar is presented by Dr Tom Nehmy and is recommended to families as a resource to support them.
This week we have also launched another extensive resource for our community to access, SchoolTV. This is a digital wellbeing platform for parents. There are a range of topics including titles such as resilience, mindfulness, blended families and positive parenting resources. The resources include expert interviews, fact sheets, recommended apps and also books. All families are encouraged to log on and see the wealth of information that is now available for you.
These initiatives are ways that the College is reaching out to support our school community during the uncertainties that we are facing. The Wellbeing Reference Group hopes that you find support within these documents.

- St John's Campus Community Recipe Book - P&F Fundraiser
The Year 3s have been busy finding ways to be creative in expressing our love and gratitude for our mums (for Mother’s Day).
As part of our provocation for our ‘How the World Works’ unit, we had a go at creating our own sundials. It was a very interesting experiment as we found that the “clock” couldn’t be 360 degrees and that our numbers to tell the time had to be written in an anti-clockwise fashion on our bases for our sundials. It was a beautiful day on Monday to test our sundials.

Many people have discovered their inner “Masterchef” and have been cooking and baking at home in the last few weeks, so we’re looking forward to you sharing your family favourites with us by Friday, 5 June!
There’ll be a chance to purchase raffle tickets to be in the draw to win one of three gourmet hampers and there will be opportunities for family businesses to advertise.
