Well done to Mitch 11MBR on his selection to represent SA in swimming at the Pacific School Games. This prestigious international event will be held in Adelaide in December and we wish Mitch well as he trains and prepares to compete in this competition.
Sam 9MGI recently presented a video audition to compete in a guitar competition aimed at high school students. The five finalists performed at Night of the Guitar at the German Club, as part of Guitars in the City, presented by Rob Pippan Productions. Sam was the winner of this competition and received a number of prizes, including being the opening item for the Phil Emmanuel concert held at the same venue on Friday 28 July. What an amazing opportunity! Well done, Sam!

Congratulations to Tait 8JFI on competing at the SA Interschool Ski Championships (SASKI) at Falls Creek in the July school holidays. Quite an experienced skier, Tait skied the downhill course twice and won a silver medal for Concordia, only narrowly missing out on first place by just over half a second. Well done, Tait!Back to top
Congratulations to James 11LMA who represented SA at a football championship in Perth on 24 June, with the team winning by a 3-goal margin. James is currently a member of the State SANFL U17 “Futures” squad of 30 players, a team designed to meet a need generated by the recent drafting development that allows AFL clubs to trade future draft picks. It also provides more opportunities for exposure to a group of players that would otherwise have to make the U18 state team selection to gain a profile with AFL scouts. While he will still be eligible for U18s next year, James has already been a regular in the North Adelaide U18s side this season.
Congratulations also to Oliver 11JLE who is currently in the State U16 squad. The SA U16s are defending the national title this year and we wish Oliver all the best for the remaining matches.
The selection of the two boys in these representative teams puts them in a good position to continue to develop as elite footballers.Back to top

Congratulations to Jasmine 8EJO on attending the Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO) Academy in Sydney during the July school holidays. Jasmine was one of a group of students selected nationwide via a competitive video audition process to attend an intensive week of rehearsals with world-class musicians from the ACO. As well as hearing from ACO staff about what it is like to pursue a career as a musician, Jasmine had the opportunity to perform twice during her trip, including at a chamber orchestra concert at City Recital Hall led by ACO violinist Aiko Goto.
This is a huge achievement and was undoubtedly a wonderful experience for Jasmine. Well done!
Congratulations to Ethan 10PLO who was part of the team representing SA in the annual Chief of the Australian Army Cadet Team Challenge at Puckapunyal Base in Victoria in July. After a very rigorous military-style selection process to make the team and then three days and nights of competition in inhospitable conditions, the SA team finished a very close third. Well done, Ethan!Back to top
