Concordia College's Early Learning at St John's Campus was recently announced as the winner of a Learning Environments Australasia Design Award (Category 6: Modernisation — Small), acknowledging the highly successful way in which an existing space has been repurposed and modernised, with a priority on creating the best experience for users of the space, emotional resonance and sensory awareness.
Saturated with spaces for learning and nestled in nature, with plenty of connection between indoor and outdoor learning areas, the Centre caters for a range of learning modes, with nooks, booths, presentation platforms, collaborative spaces and teacher research zones all carefully planned around a large central foyer area. The flexibility of the spaces, adaptable audiovisual capabilities and the student access to resources set the Centre apart in its ability to facilitate different learning styles and play-based learning opportunities.
We are delighted to receive this award and thank all who contributed to bringing the vision for our modernised Early Learning Centre to life. May it continue to be an amazing space for our youngest learners to enjoy for many years to come!
