Old Concordian and ceramic artist Rosie Field, Class of 1966, began her artistic journey with clay in 2018 through a community pottery group. Since that time, she has established a small studio and exhibited at three SALA exhibitions (2021, 2022 and 2025). Her work, which is inspired by her interest in nature, has featured the creation of ceramic 'stacks' based on a range of themes or events of significance to Rosie. In 2021, at her first SALA exhibition, she won the City of Unley's Active Ageing Award. Following this success, she was provided with gallery space in Unley for the 2022 SALA exhibition and had people purchase works to beautify their homes and garden spaces. In 2025, her SALA exhibition was hosted in her own garden and studio spaces.
Early in 2026, Rosie's work was placed on display for the public to enjoy as part of the Brighton Jetty Sculpture exhibition, running from Wednesday 21 January to Sunday 1 February.
