Pedal Prix Tailem Bend Six-Hour Race

On Saturday 20 May, five teams from the College participated in the six-hour Pedal Prix race at Tailem Bend Raceway and competed against 160 teams from a range of community groups and schools. Our five teams and over 40 students involved across the day worked tirelessly to complete many laps on a technical 2.8km track with multiple hill climbs and high-speed corners, reaching speeds in excess of 45km/h.

All our teams competed strongly, contesting multiple top 10 positions throughout the race at different times. Race dramas throughout the day included a couple of flat tyres and loose debris getting caught up under our trikes slowing some of our teams down. Competitive racing also led to some roll overs reducing our time out on the track.

Overall all our teams represented the College well throughout the entire day and we achieved some good results to cap off the second race of the season. Thank you to the staff and parents who assisted in a range of roles over the day and in preparation for the race. Our next race is scheduled in Adelaide on Sunday 18 June.
