In the lead up to Easter, children from St John’s Campus Early Learning Centre engaged in a variety of craft and play-based learning experiences. They listened to stories such as ‘Jesus Loves Everybody’ and discussed how we can be more like Jesus because He is special. They explored Easter symbols, and created sun catchers from natural materials, using Easter imagery like eggs, candles and crosses. The children grasped the significance behind each symbol, particularly the Easter Eggs symbolising ‘new life’.

We created a collaborative Easter Garden and invited children from each room to contribute their own craft creations. Seeds were planted and cared for by watering to help them grow. We look forward to watching our garden flourish and remind us of Jesus’ love.
