In 2023, two Year 11 students attended the State Constitutional Student Convention at Parliament House as representatives of the College.

The 72 attending delegates at last year’s Convention were eligible to apply for a position at the 2024 National Convention. This required them to write an essay on a proposition. The essay needed to be related to one or more of the issues addressed at the State Convention and be supported with reasons.

The standard of applications received was very high and the selection of 12 representatives from South Australia was a difficult task.

Lily 12TMCC had been selected by the South Australian Secondary Schools Constitutional Student Conventions Planning Group to represent the state with 11 other students at the 2024 National Schools Constitutional Convention, which she attended from Monday 18 to Thursday 21 March in Canberra. She represented the College well and learned a great deal about the constitutional process in Commonwealth Parliament.
