Pedal Prix at Mount Gambier

On Saturday 16 March the Concordia Pedal Prix teams competed in the opening race of the season at Mount Gambier. The weather was very hot, but it didn’t stop our three teams from producing consistent lap times throughout the day. The technical track provided a fun racing experience for students with limited rollovers and technical incidents slowing teams down throughout the race. Team Veloci, our Senior School team, chased down third position in the early hours of the race and held on to finish third in their category. Both team Concorde and team Shockwave had a mixture of experienced and new riders. They pushed all day chasing down the teams above them, both finishing in the top 10 of their respective categories.

Overall our students demonstrated a strong, competitive attitude, excellent sportsmanship and strong grit as they pushed through the heat throughout the day. Thank you to all the parents who provided overwhelming assistance across the weekend and a big thank you to Mr Divitkos and Mr Brown for leading the race weekend.

We look forward to racing five teams in Round 2 at Tailem Bend early next term.
