The College Oval was filled with colour, energy and excitement as students, staff and families gathered to celebrate our annual combined Primary School Sports Day, involving students from St John's and St Peters campuses. The day promoted participation, teamwork and a love of physical activity across both Junior and Upper Primary year levels.
Junior Primary students rotated enthusiastically through a variety of tabloid events designed to develop fundamental movement skills. Activities encouraged running, jumping and throwing in a fun and inclusive environment where every child could experience success. The egg and spoon relay tested balance and focus, while the sack relay brought laughter and cheers as students hopped their way down the track.
Upper Primary students demonstrated their growing athletic skills through traditional track and field events. Fast‑paced sprints showcased speed and determination, while the long jump and high jump highlighted strength, technique and perseverance. The shot put added another exciting challenge as students tested their power and control.
The day concluded with the hard‑fought house relays, a fitting culmination to a fantastic Sports Day. With house pride on full display, students ran, cheered and supported one another right to the final race, creating an electric atmosphere and memorable finish.
Throughout the day, students demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, resilience and encouragement for their peers. A heartfelt thank you to the staff and families involved for their support in making our Primary Campus Sports Day such a positive and memorable experience.
