At the end of Week 5, a class of 17 Concordia students attended their first Veta Morphus retreat for the year, held in the Adelaide Hills at Mylor. This retreat is the first of three gatherings that form part of the Veta Morphus program, a national course that allows students to explore and deepen their faith while working towards a Certificate III in Christian Ministry and Theology.
The weekend provided a valuable opportunity for students to connect with others from schools across South Australia who are also completing the course. Throughout the retreat, students participated in worship, heard from a guest speaker, spent time in small group discussions, and built new friendships with peers who share a desire to grow in their faith.
Alongside times of learning and reflection, the retreat also included opportunities for community building, fun activities and time away from the busyness of everyday life to focus on faith and personal growth. For many students, it was an encouraging start to the year-long program as they begin exploring what it means to live out their faith in practical ways.
We look forward to seeing how our students continue to grow through the Veta Morphus program over the course of the year.
