Q&A with Hannah Lewis, Psychology/Science and Music Teacher – Concordia Campus

1. Where were you before this and what persuaded you to join Concordia?

Prior to joining Concordia, I taught Psychology and was working within the Special Interest Music Program at Brighton Secondary School. I value a supportive and enriching environment that fosters both academic and personal growth and can see Concordia is a place where I can meaningfully contribute to that purpose.

2. Three words to describe you.

Curious, supportive and reflective.

3. What is your motivation or inspiration in your role?

As an Old Concordian (2013), returning to Concordia felt like a natural progression, given the profound impact the College had on my own personal and educational experience. It is a privilege to professionally contribute to a community that I deeply value.

4. If you had a superpower, what would it be?

The ability to slow down time. The events over the past five years gave us this beautiful opportunity to really think about what we value in our lives. I would love to have more time to engage with my family and friends doing the things that I love.

5. Who would you invite to a dinner party of six guests and why? Alternatively, tell us something you might like to share that we could not possibly know?

I would love to cook a beautiful roast and share a dinner with my grandparents, asking them all of the questions that time seems to raise. As I've grown older, I've come to realise there are so many stories and pieces of wisdom that I never thought to ask about as a child, and I would cherish the opportunity to hear them now.
